Welcome.
Come On In And Make Yourself At Home.
Pleased to meet you. My name is G.R. Thomas and around these parts they call me...

The Legend

because when it comes to writing heart stomping country lyrics, swapping tall tales, down home cooking, playing hot pool, and chasing pretty women -- I'm as good as they come.

Once A Man

Once a man, and twice a child
   seven boys, and six girls
   And I'm still the one
   Mama called the wild.

   The sweet smell of fall
   on the earth and sky
   the spirits of the wind
   bring back dreams gone by.

   Riding on a dream
   heading for a fall
   living in a world
where old memories catch us all.

   Misforutne fell on me
   and hardship's here to stay
   If luck is a memory
   could I have some today.

And when this life is over
and only memories are left of me
   put me on the rainbow
   that reaches to the sea.

   I gave up my dreams
and misfortune fall where I stay
   dreams and old memories
is it worth the price I pay.

   Old dreams and memories
   more than I can say
   hearts that break in spring
   will mend another day.

   Lonesome time of the evening
and the leaves begin to fall
   and when the wind blows
I still hear my mama call.

   Hold onto your dreams
cause the dust will catch us all
   misfortune is a hardship
   old memories to recall

   The colors of the fall
   will remind you of me
as you wander this old world
in the years you will see
   the colors of the rainbow
   that reaches to the sea.

   When the wind blows
   of the evening
   and the leaves drift
   from the trees
   take a moment a remember
   old dreams and memories.
